Which Fresh Cut Flowers Last the Longest?

This includes cutting stems at an angle, changing the water regularly, removing any foliage below the waterline, and placing flowers in a clean vase with fresh water. Additionally, keeping flowers away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts can help prolong their vase life.

Here is a list of a few cut flowers that tend to last the longest, and how long they might last:

 Alstroemeria (Peruvian Lily):

  • Alstroemeria flowers are known for their long-lasting blooms. With proper care, they can remain vibrant for up to two weeks or more.

 Carnations:

  • Carnations are sturdy flowers with a long vase life, often lasting up to two weeks or longer. They come in a variety of colors and are relatively inexpensive.

 Chrysanthemums:

  • Chrysanthemums, also known as mums, have a long vase life and come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. With proper care, they can last up to two weeks or more.

 Lilies:

  • Oriental and Asiatic lilies are known for their long-lasting blooms and fragrant scent. With proper care, lilies can last up to two weeks or more.

 Orchids:
